Our story

Built slowly, on purpose

From a ruined finca and an almond grove to forty-two rooms above the sea.

Since 1998

A family house that kept growing

Aurelle began as a summer house restored stone by stone by the Ferrer family. Friends came, then friends of friends, and in 2009 the first eight rooms opened to guests.

We still build with local limestone and oak, still press our own olive oil, and still know most of our guests by name.

The land

Forty hectares, mostly wild

Three quarters of our land is left to pine forest, olive trees and wild herbs. The rest feeds our kitchens.

The people

Ninety per cent from the island

Most of our team grew up within twenty kilometres of the cove, and many have been with us for over a decade.

What we care about

Our promises

Local first

Food, wine, linen and furniture sourced on the island wherever possible.

Light footprint

Solar power, rainwater collection and no single-use plastic.

Fair work

Year-round contracts for our team, not only in the summer.
